Doctoral students at the University of Latvia, with financial support from the Doctoral School, can consult the Laboratory of Statistical Research and Data Analysis on data collection, analysis, and presentation for the preparation of their doctoral thesis and scientific publications. In accordance with the procedures established by the University of Latvia, the maximum amount available to a doctoral student is EUR 500 per academic year, provided that the funds are used for consultations or the publication of a scientific article.
Consultations at the UL Laboratory of Statistical Research and Data Analysis are a paid service are paid service.
Please note that if a doctoral student or doctoral degree candidate has received funding under:
- The “Reform of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Plan and Investment Direction 5.2.1.r – Ensuring the Change of the University Governance Model” reform “Higher Education and Science Excellence and Governance Reform” investment 5.2.1.1.i – “Research, Development and Consolidation Grants,” second round “Consolidation and Governance Change Implementation Grants,” consultations are primarily funded from the grant’s research cost position (unit costs). Payment for the service must be arranged through the faculty Executive Director.
- The European Union Cohesion Policy Programme 2021–2027, specific objective 1.1.1 “Strengthening Research and Innovation Capacity and Introducing Advanced Technologies in the Overall R&D System,” measure 1.1.1.8 “Doctoral Grants,” consultations are primarily funded from the grant’s research cost position (unit costs). Payment for the service must be arranged through the Senior Expert of the UL Institutional Development Centre, Gunita Sakse (gunita.sakse@lu.lv).
