UL Research Portal PURE

University of Latvia Research Portal (PURE)

The University of Latvia has established a unified Research Portal that consolidates the University’s research achievements and the scholarly output of its researchers in a single platform.

The portal provides information on:

• UL researchers and their areas of expertise;
• scientific publications;
• intellectual property outputs;
• datasets;
• collaborations.

The portal will be progressively expanded to include information on projects, research activities, awards, and media coverage.

The objectives of the Research Portal are:

• to enhance the international visibility of the University of Latvia;
• to foster collaboration with academic and industry partners;
• to ensure transparent access to the University’s research achievements.

The portal serves as a central source of information on research at the University of Latvia and presents data maintained in the University’s research information system (PURE/PIVS).

PURE (PIVS) is the University of Latvia’s integrated research information system, which ensures high-quality data management, supports the preparation of reports, and facilitates the use of information in research administration. It also enables the transfer of data to external institutions, including the Ministry of Education and Science.
